(More customer reviews)One of the commenters remarked that this has a watery taste - yes, because it is made with water and with milk, like the "real" hot chocolate is supposed to be made of. But is you let one of those milk discs run through the machine after the chocolate syrup, it really improves the taste. And the calories, but what the hack, you chose the chocolate to indulge yourself, not to loose weight, right? I like the taste(with milk) and did not expect otherwise - Suchard is one of the premium chocolate makers in Europe.

I'm a big hot chocolate fan, and would have to say the best cocoa experience of my life was in Spain.The hot chocolate was much creamier and richer than anything I've tried here in the US. Not having a lot of time to stand over the stove and whisk milk and chocolate together, the time was right for me to get an electric Hot Chocolate Maker.

The benefits of this machine are that it can make just enough for myself or, when there's a crowd it make up to 32 ozs. You set the dial/timer to adjust how long you'd like to heat the cocoa (less time for smaller amounts, more for larger) and bam it's done. I really like that I don't need to stand over and watch the machine until its ready.

You can use regular cocoa powder mix or chocolate shavings/chips with this machine - I highly recommend using the real deal. I've been using some Ghiradelli Drinking Chocolate which makes a more intense chocolate drink.

Overall the Bialetti Hot Chocolate Maker was easy to use, easy to clean and gave great results.

Nescafe Dolce Gusto Single Serve Coffee Machines Review

(More customer reviews)I want to love this machine. If you are considering purchasing the Dolce Gusto machine I STRONGLY suggest you sample the coffee first (I think Sur La Table has demo machines). Here's what I like about the machine:
* The design is sleek.
* It's well made and sturdy.
* The machine heats the water up really fast- once you turn it you're ready to make coffee in well under a minute.
* The machine is incredibly easy to use. (see attached video for a demo of a cappuccino)
* No real cleanup required after each use.

Now for the bad...
* The machine comes with a latte macchiato glass, a cappuccino cup and saucer. Unfortunately the packaging was very poor (not enough bubble wrap) and the saucer arrived cracked.
* The coffee is horrible. As good as the physical machine is... it is only as good as the coffee it makes. All the milk based Dolce Gusto drinks are excessively sweet, taste artificial and have a ton of sugar and have anywhere from 3.5g-6g of fat.
*The non-milk drinks are very disappointing as well. Both the espresso and lungo aren't very strong and taste very average.
