(More customer reviews)I've tried the Gevalia cappuccino and this brand, and the Maxwell house is much less expensive, and every bit as good.Nice smooth flavor, not quite as strong with the expresso as I would like but still very good.This is going to be a regular selection for me because of its better value for the money-the other brand doesn't have enough of a difference in flavor to make up for the difference in price!
I'm genuinely pleased with Maxwell House Cafe Collection Cappuccino, and will try some of the other versions they have available in T-disks as well.

(More customer reviews)Over the years that I have had my Tassimo system; I have tried every brand and variety of coffee & tea made for it.The Starbucks brand is the most consistent of all the brands.Each of the flavors is accurately described.TheVerona is a bold and earthy blend that will not disappoint if you usually stop at your local SB for a cup of strong coffee.

If I want a more serious kick without going to an expresso, I simply press the button on the Tassimo when it is half-way done brewing and it gives an extra bold, but not bitter (half)cup of coffee.

Lastly, I have yet to have one of the SB's T-Disc fail (fail = very inconsistent flavor from disc to disc, or inconsistent quantity of coffee to water, or out-right failure of the disc) which happens too often with the other brands.

The tin packaging is compact for easy storage, but I recommend keeping the opened pods in a vacuum container to maintain freshness. If you're willing to invest in two 18-pod tins, you can't beat the price on Amazon!

For a slightly different great taste and individual packaging to maintain freshness, try Espressione as an alternative, though the individual packaging requires additional storage space in your cupboard.

(More customer reviews)I bought this to replace my Bunn pod brewer.I liked the Bunn, but after going through three in two years, I figured it was time to try another brand. The Grindmaster is somewhat of a commercial-grade product and hopefully it will last longer.

Grindmaster pros include:

- Quickly brews good-tasting and very hot coffee (adjustable)
- Works with every brand of pods we've tried
- Has a large water tank, and can be plumbed for automatic fillup
- Reasonably good looking, although a bit larger than others
- Lets you program the unit to exactly fill your favorite cup

On the negative side, about the only thing I've noticed is that the unit is a bit loud when running, and there's no way to turn off the (relatively bright) blue water level indicator lamp on the front of the unit.

I'd rate the overall quality as somewhat above the Bunn and other brands, but it's not necessarily in a completely different league.

(More customer reviews)When I want a treat, I brew one of the Gevalia Cappuccinos in my Tassimo machine. Each package comes with 8 Gevalia espresso discs, and 8 creamers. The creamers are liquid and made from 2% milk. To make a cappuccino, you use an espresso disc first, brewing the small serving of espresso, then you use a creamer disc. The barcode on the disc tells the Tassimo machine to froth the cream, and what comes out is a lovely frothed cream that mixes in with the espresso, creating a delicious cappuccino.

The flavor is smooth, the texture quite good. Each cup has a head of foamy cream on top like you'd get in a coffee shop. I use these when I want to treat myself to something more than just a regular cup of coffee. They're a bit more expensive than the regular coffees, but when you want to treat yourself, it's worth it.

(More customer reviews)I assume if you are reading this you already know what Tassimo is and all that and are just curious about this flavor.Well I can happily tell you it is really, really good.Packaged the same as all other milk coffee drinks you get the coffee pod and the milk pod.Here I believe the caramel flavoring is just integrated in with the espresso/coffee pod.
The flavor which I realize is not coming from real caramel is actually quite good.And when brewing you get a wonderful caramel smell.My wife likes these as much as the coffee she normally gets form Strabucks, and we can make it at home and save quite a bit of money.
So if you have yourself a tassimo and you like the caramel latte macchiato you gets at the coffee shop then I think you will be pleased with these.

(More customer reviews)We had a bit smaller version of this for years and LOVED it!! This one looks prettier but it is harder to use. We always steamed milk right in our mug before but with this one it is almost impossible to do because it immediately foams over and makes a huge mess. It does not adjust to steam/froth so you just get froth! It drives me crazy! I would rather have the other Capresso that is a bit smaller but worked great. If you never steam milk I suppose the espresso part works fine. I don't like it :(

(More customer reviews)I've been an espresso freak since I first tried one after viewing The Godfather Part II (Don Fanucci downs it in one gulp while talking to the young Vito Coreleone). I used to go to Starbucks every morning, but I eventually decided to buy my own machine (Espressione Cafe Retro)and brew my own. I gravited to pods because they were so much easier and less messy than ground coffee. I buy the Sampler Packs from Podmerchant exclusively, but not because I am attempting through scientific research to find the "best" brand. There is no BEST brand. Sometimes I want something light and tangy, so I'll reach for an Attibassi Nicaragua. Maybe a rich, heavy blast after a big meal? Gotta be a Lucaffe Mr. Exclusive. Early afternoon is the perfect time for a Cafe Mako Napoletano. I like the variety, I like the colorful packaging, I like to be surprised and not know what's coming next! Espresso is a treat, a pure delight, something to be savored. Who wants to savor the same thing over and over? Give me variety, or give me death!

First, I thought the pods came with it (okay, that was dumb). But second, the only option to mount is to use the sticky gum on the back of the flat panel?Really, I hate using that stuff, what if I move next month, I have to buy a new one?And $30 for a simple metal holder is a little over the top. If you are buying a Nespresso and you have the option for this item, I would think twice. In truth, I may come to love this thing once I'm swimming in over-priced, proprietary wasteful pods, but we will see.

Starbucks Latte Primo, T-Discs for Tassimo Coffeemakers, 8 Count Packages (Pack of 2) Review

(More customer reviews)I am very impressed with Starbucks' Latte Primo. I love drinking strong black coffee, and also enjoy coffee drinks. My favorite T-Discs for coffee are Starbucks Caffe Verona and Africa Kitamu. Prior to sampling the Starbucks Latte and Cappuccino, my choice was Gevalia Latte and Cappuccino T-Discs because I found their espresso better (stronger) than Maxwell House's. Those two brands share the same creamers and although they are certainly acceptable, they have a stronger cooked milk flavor compared to Starbuck's.

Starbucks espresso is a great improvement over the Gevalia, and its presence in the Latte is key to my five star rating for the drink. I also prefer the new creamer developed by Starbucks. The creamer does contain a small amount of sugar, and although the reason for its inclusion is unclear, I didn't find the sweetness noticeable. The latte creamer produces a luxurious quantity of creamy decadent foam.

I have attached a picture of the latte while in the process of brewing because sometimes marketing photos don't look like the result obtained in real life. The cup in the pictures holds 8 ounces filled to the brim. The latte has 80 calories, 4 grams of sugar and 5 grams of fat. For me there is no turning back. Once I finish the remaining Gevalia Latte and Cappuccino I have on hand, Starbucks will be the only brand I'll buy.
