B U T ...if you can live with all the flavor and none of the foam (and have a little skill) ..
Vev Vigano Itaca 4 cup Espresso maker is the slick , shiny , well made,durable little 18/10 stainless steel bombfor up to two people, with an espresso addiction
You'll have to polish your barista skills (grind and Tamp)...practice with and regular cleaning of the Itaca will be rewarded with crema and flavor ..lazyness will keep you in line at starbucks feeding a foam addiction...
Do the math ...I dropped forty five CA on the Itaca and inside ofseven days had consumed enough large lattes (twenty one of them) to require I take out a small loan to feed this same espresso addiction @ starbucks (I'm hooked on espresso, not foam, but if YOU need foam ..use an egg whip on your separately heated milk ...you wussies :)
REAL men only need apply to operate the Itaca..(it s all analog baby)
it gets hot and burns the fingers, it can spit out pure crap if the shot is not tamped and ground properly (imagine that)and if you overheat it, bitterness is the reward..plus you have to clean it after every use AND it takes just a weee bit longer than making a cup of instant...
It s worth it all... for the flavor..it s really really good ..it s really addictive ...I may have to sue ...and I dont miss and or need the foam on my latte ...
Arrrrrr ..Have you ever been to sea without an espresso machine Billy? ....
