(More customer reviews)I was really surprised that the thermometer had to be adjusted when we got it - you will need an adjustable wrench and a pair of pliers or a vise.Ours read 150F when it was at room temperature sitting on the counter - it seems to be OK now that I set it, but this means the error is plus or minus 5 or 10 degrees, since I don't have the instruments to set it exactly.
